How Thinking Differently Can Unlock Growth in Your Business

Entrepreneurs think differently. They have to in order to create opportunities for their business to grow. The most successful share a certain mindset, that enables them to take calculated risks and overcome fear, doubt and failure. This event explores the entrepreneurial mindset and how a shift in beliefs can create huge change, whatever stage your business is at. COVID-19 has created a fresh wave of mental challenges for entrepreneurs. We will tackle these difficult issues and discuss how to re-energise and re-focus at times of uncertainty.

How To Hone Your Entrepreneurial Skills

Using space technology in your business can be an incredible opportunity, but it creates high barriers to entry for many people. Founders with a technical background face very different challenges when growing their business, compared to non-technical founders who come into the sector in pursuit of an idea. In this session we will explore the debate from both sides, and develop ways in which both technical and non-technical founders can build teams which thrive.

Building Innovative Business Models

Much is made of the potential for space technology to create positive disruption in the business world. But the outstanding successes of the last decade have been driven by disruptive business models, not just new technology. In this event we will share different business models with real life examples, and give you ideas for when to use them and common pitfalls. At the end you will take away actions to get ahead of the competition by changing how you do business, not what you do.

The Funding Landscape

There are many different ways of funding your space business, from investment to bootstrapping to grants. It is easy to get so fixated on one path that you rule out others and miss out on real opportunities. This session will explore the different routes to funding through real life examples that you will be able to explore directly within your business.

Space Supply Chain and Market Dynamics

The business of space is huge and growing rapidly. This evolution creates opportunities but makes it hard to keep up. In this event our experts will share a snapshot of the sector to help you find your niche in a changing landscape. We will talk about challenges in the supply chain that need to be unlocked and where there may be opportunities that UK Space companies can tap into.

Achieving Product-Market Fit

Having a clear customer with a compelling reason to buy from you is the rocket fuel for business growth. Getting this wrong can mean struggling to make sales, pricing challenges and ultimately failure. For a customer to buy from you for the first time they have to take action or change their behaviour, so how do you make sure they really need what you have? This event will cover how to understand your customers better and continually evolve your offer, whether you are a startup looking for your first sales or an established business hungry for growth.

Investor Readiness

Wow, you’re thinking about raising investment? It’s an exciting time in the life of any business, but can be fraught with failure and uncertainty. In this session we will share the 7 deadly sins of raising investment from our expert panel, and explore how to nail your investment pitch. You will take away actionable insight to help you decide if investment is right for you and improve your chances of success.
