Entrepreneurial Spark Alumni Celebrates 5 Years In Business!
Independent wedding boutique, The Bridal Emporium, celebrates its 5th birthday in style.
If you saw a group of women dressed as brides traipsing around Leeds a few weeks ago, chances are, you were witnessing the all-female team behind fashionable wedding boutique the Bridal Emporium. To mark the shops fifth year in business and inspired by that Friends episode, the staff all picked their favourite wedding dress to wear around town, whilst alternative photographer Tim Dunk, captured the madness that ensued.
The girls tottered up and down The Headrow, brunched at Bills Restaurant and Bar (much to the delight of the other guests) and topped it off by gate crashing a street performance outside Leeds Trinity shopping centre, where boutique manager Gracie took the opportunity to use the mic and give the Bridal Emporium a shout out to a crowd of onlookers!
The bridal photoshoot kicks off the business’s 5th birthday celebrations, and how far the owner and founder Claire Amelia has come. The Bridal Emporium started with just Claire Amelia making dresses by herself in the shop window and selling her collection of vintage wedding dresses. Claire Amelia joined Entrepreneurial Spark in 2015 and was enabled by the team there to think bigger, refine her proposition and grow her business. The boutique has evolved so much since then and is now celebrated for stocking in-demand designers such as Watters, Lillian West and Eliza Jane Howell to name a few, and offer in house alterations. Claire herself has had big changes during the last 5 years, giving birth to two gorgeous baby girls who often accompany her to work and are regularly featured stealing hearts on the shop’s social media channels.
There is a Girl Power energy to the Bridal Emporium, which can be felt as soon as you walk into the boutique and see its fashionable furnishings, bohemian bridal gowns and friendly sales team. It’s the shops relaxed ambience and stylists who all have their individual strengths and quirky personalities which sets the Bridal Emporium apart from its competitors.
Claire Amelia comments:
“It’s amazing to see all the hard work pay off. The Bridal Emporium is highly regarded for its designers and service making it a leading bridal boutique not only in Leeds, but in the North. We’ve just had a full revamp, new branding and in terms of the future, I can’t wait for our new website to relaunch, where we will be selling our products online and to start designing again.
I’m so excited to celebrate The Bridal Emporium’s 5th year with my team and our fab customers! We hosted a massive party in the shop with free drinks, treats and entertainment!”
Jeremy Ambrose – Director of Entrepreneurial Spark:
“It was obvious when she came in to the programme that there was something about her, she had a true grit, determination and real Yorkshire stubbornness towards failure. I am delighted for Claire Amelia and her team, 5 years of business is a huge achievement, especially considering the failure in start-up businesses at present”
The Bridal Emporium is situated in he up and coming 4/5 Grand Arcade, Vicar Lane, Leeds LS1 6PG. Why not visit them when you are in Leeds.
