FINDRA is a fashion led performance driven bike-wear and outdoor apparel brand. FINDRA brings to the market a stylish functional award winning range of performance clothing. The core collection is made in Scotland using innovative technology to produce lightweight technical seamless Merino garments. FINDRA fuses fashion and performance wear in a new and dynamic way.

What encouraged you to join Entrepreneurial Spark’s people accelerator programme?
I first heard about Entrepreneurial Spark though a fellow entrepreneur who was already on the programme and spoke very highly of it. What I discovered was a really refreshing and new approach to supporting start-up businesses. I liked the idea of being challenged, and really delving into my business to find out if I could take my idea and turn it into a real, sustainable business.

Since joining Entrepreneurial Spark how have you seen your business change?
I wouldn't say my business has changed since joining Entrepreneurial Spark, I would say it has evolved, flourished and become a reality. When I joined I had an idea, but taking that idea and making it actually happen was a big task.

Being part of Entrepreneurial Spark meant I had the opportunity to meet with my Enabler once a week. This helped me have a very clear staged process of targets and tasks to work through. Knowing I had to feedback weekly to my Enabler also meant I was always accountable for the progress I was making. This was invaluable to me and I really don't think my business would be quite where it is today had I not had that structured help and support. Entrepreneurial Spark has enabled me to lay a solid foundation on which my business can really grow and scale.

Looking to the year ahead what are you hoping to achieve?
2016 is all about growth for FINDRA. We had a fantastic launch year in 2015 and I want to build on this momentum. We start the year actively looking for investment to build on our Scottish Edge win. We also have plans to introduce new product ranges and in AW16 we will introduce a menswear range. Fundamental to this growth is the team. In 2016 we hope to grow from a team of 1.5 to 4. This will enable us to really take FINDRA forward and progress on our journey of creating a global brand.

If you were to describe Entrepreneurial Spark in three words, what would they be?
Challenging, proactive, inspiring.
